Tencent Reveals Contra Return’s First New Swordsman Hero

Contra Return （魂斗罗：归来） is a new mobile shooter developed by China giant game developer Tencent Games and currently in limited closed beta. Tencent announced to reboot this Konami’s classical IP in 2016 and now the game is coming next month.


Tencent not only inherits the original classical gameplay, but also adding more fresh elements in the games such as new weapons, new boss, new pvp gameplay and even upgrade the graphic to 3D. There are 13 heroes, over 40 weapons and up to 200 checkpoints for players to challenge.


All characters use to carry guns in the original Contra. However, recently the official reveals a brand new swordsman hero with twin swords. This new hero named Yagyu Jube Mil (柳生千兵卫) is an inheritor from well-known family Yagyu rank as a grade A character next to grade S Alex and Lance. He is the first hero uses melee weapons in contra series with strong moving ability and super cool skills.

As an inheritor from well-known family Yagyu, he has very high talent in twin swords skills. It is still a mystery about why he leaves his family and joins to contra force. The mystery will soon be uncovered as the story move forward.
